Spring Fling

Spring Fling This whimsical centerpiece is ideal for spring-inspired dinner celebrations and is surprisingly easy to create. "I gathered several manzanita branches into a tall vase to bring the outside in. These stunning branches, with their twists and curls, make such a dramatic statement on a tabletop," Katie Riley of Centsational Girl states. You can even substitute the butterflies with seasonal objects, like leaves or snowflakes, to get a stunning centerpiece to observe any holiday or season.

Black Balloons To create this party-ready centerpiece and table, Wendy Hyde of The Shabby Nest first layered kraft paper over a neutral tablecloth and topped it with a black-and-white patterned table runner. "Balloons were tied to chandelier crystals to weigh them down and maintain their place on the table," she says. "Pretty mercury-glass votives were put between the balloons to add surrounding light." For a personalized touch, each balloon was embellished with photos, in this case, images of the anniversary couple.

Seaside Inspirations Longing for that summertime feel throughout the winter months? Bring the shore right to your dining table. This sea-inspired centerpiece is easy to create and can be utilized all year round. "A rustic wooden menu provides the base for your rectangular glass vase full of candles, sand and a variety of seashells," Katrina Giles of Seaside Interiors says. Add brilliant shells and starfish for an excess increase of summer hues.

Vibrant Fruits This summer-inspired floral centerpiece sits nicely against crisp white linens and a neutral background. Based upon the height of the flower stalks, then fill a tall, narrow hurricane halfway with water and add a couple small oranges for a burst of color. Pick tall seasonal blossoms for a vibrant contrast against the floating orange colors.

Rustic Autumn Decor This warm, rustic tablescape is ideal for displaying autumn's favorite colors. Lauren Liess of Pure Style Home used a rust-toned classic quilt on top of a linen curtain board for a layered tablecloth effect. "I took cues from the entire year and introduced in pumpkins, fresh and nuts urns on the desk," she states. "I used both wood and crystal cutting boards to get a juxtaposition between rustic and refined." This tablescape is perfect for Thanksgiving dinner or for the entire fall season.

Spring Awakening Celebrate the beginning of spring with an inviting nature-inspired tablescape. "An easy blossom-themed wrapping paper is the inspiration for this particular table setting to welcome spring. A number of candles and a pedestal holding an egg-filled bowl add into the brand new feel of the table," Katrina Giles of Seaside Interiors states. For a subtle contrast and touch of play, black spot mats are added beneath simple aqua dishes.

Natural Instincts Craft a centerpiece using natural things found right in your garden. To create the various components of the headboard, Alissa Ditta of 33 Colors of Green stuffed glass hurricanes with candles, moss and twigs and surrounded them with twig balls and small votives for additional sparkle. Potted succulents provide an extra green component to the decoration in contrast with the burlap table runner. "Decorating with succulent plants is easy and inexpensive, because they're low-maintenance and will be around long after your dinner party," she says.

Winter Florals For this new floral centerpiece, Lauren Liess of Pure Style Home wanted to make a fresh, wintry appearance by pairing icy-hued china with a organic floral centerpiece. "I used a blend of white roses, freesia, carnations and mums in the aluminum bowl in the center of the table and flanked it with wheat grass," she says.

Hello, Orange! These vibrant orange figurines would be ideal for a baby or bridal shower, or just a springtime soiree. Keren Dukes of Free Pretty Things for You made this chic centerpiece with tissue paper, vintage buttons, lace and thrift-shop milk glasses. The resulting stylish DIY figurines are equally affordable and simple to make. Bring a pop of color to the living room with the addition of these to a mantelscape.

Conversation Starter It's important that a dinner party centerpiece not obstruct the view of the other side of the table. Something tall and slim can still supply a stunning effect without interfering from the dialogue. Insert tall blooming branches to a slim vase and surround with pebbles, marbles or sand to keep the branches in place. Layout by John Gidding.

Flowers and Fruit Create a fragrant and vibrant centerpiece with fresh lime pieces and blooming perennials. The secret to keeping the carrot pieces upright is to utilize just two vases of varying sizes, fitting one inside of the other and filling in the area with 1/4-inch-thick lime slices. The luscious floral and fruit scents will continue for two to three days.

Old World Appeal Red, pink and white are not just allowed for Valentine's Day dinners. To make this romantic Old World centerpiece, organize pink roses and white daisies, and encircle them with homegrown creeping Jenny at a rustic urn. For a touch of intimacy and elegance, add silver candlesticks on either side of the arrangement. Design by Susan Herin of Between Naps on the Porch.

Stylish Collectible Why don't you put that quirky collection to good use? Whether you collected marbles as a youngster or collect corks as an adult, either may be used as a vase filler for a floral centerpiece. Find a big, clear vase or storm, fill out two-thirds of the way with corks and arrange your beloved seasonal flowers for a straightforward and one of a kind centerpiece. Layout by John Gidding.

Holiday Chic RMS user mfranc created this chic centerpiece with clear hurricanes, cream pomanders and bronze-hued decoration balls in glass jars. Coupled with simple table configurations, this look is an elegant way of holiday entertaining. Eliminate the ornaments and you have a centerpiece that is ideal for the spring and summer months.

Natural Whimsy Inspired by nature, Carmella Fryar of Southern Fried Dreams used lively daisies and reindeer moss with this simple table-length centerpiece. She alternated vases and glasses of varying dimensions with little floating candles to include components of romance and whimsy. The burlap table runner helps bring from the pure sense of the entire tablescape.
